One of Islam hero: Abbas bin Ali


Abbas bin Ali bin Abi Talib , he is a brother of imam Hussein from his father (imam Hussein is the leader of Al- Taf war in Karbala ) . He has three brothers from his mother, he was known by his bravery and we will mention his great attitude in Al-Taf war
He presented his brothers to participate in the war, he wanted to see them died for supporting imam Hussein as he did. He said " I did not participate in the war to protect imam Hussein because he is my brother but I participate to protect him as religious guide and protect my religion which is represented by him
When his brothers died , he asked imam Hussein to fight the enemy then he shouted in the war field
I do not fear death if it approaches
I do not fear war
I sacrifice myself to protect imam Hussein
Then imam Hussein told him to bring water to the women & children because their enemy prevented the water from them . when Abbas reached to the river , he tried to drink water because the war was in Summer and he was so thirsty but he remembered imam Hussein'sthirst and the women and children who are waiting for him to bring water , so he threw the water from his hand and fill his canteen but the enemy attacked him to prevent reaching the water to the child and women but Abbas killed many of them until they cut his right hand
He said : If you cut my hand , I will stay protect my religion and imam Hussein
Then they cut his left hand . He said
I do not fear disbelievers
God will bless me
I will be in paradise with our prophet Mohammed
Let God burn them in hell for cutting my hands
Then he embraced the flag to his chest and carried the canteen by his teeth
They threw arrow to the canteen and the water fell down on the ground then they crashed his head by a pillar and threw arrow on his chest , he was bleeding till he died
Note : Al-Taf war happened between imam Hussein and the tyrant ruler Yazeed bin Muawyia bin Abi Sufian
in which imam Hussein and his brothers, children and companions had been killed and his
enemy took the women and children as prisoners of war
