After the end of limited time (one month) and stopping the demonstration in it, Al-Sayyid Muqtada Al-Sader called the Iraqi nation in general and those who are sympathizing with the reformation in particular, especially Al-Sadri movement Al-Mujahid to do many matters like
First matter: All employees strike on the official work except the security forces on Sunday and Monday which dated on 4and 5 September 2016 and stay in front of their offices to do the urgent and sensitive works outside their offices with the possibility ,and the examinations in the schools are excluded
Second matter: The people strikes on food on Friday 9 September after the Friday prayer till the morning of Sunday 11 September in mosques, Husayniyat , churches and worship houses …etc. and also the cultural and social institutions
The word (strike) is new term from the terms of refusing the corruptors and corruption which walks with serious steps toward the reformation and may be it will be new introduction for more influential matter in the future
A lot of oppressed Iraqi people didn't deal with this term with clear and practical side and doesn't have visible effect in it therefore I'd like to illustrate this concept briefly to know that this term was used by the civil world for long years and covenants , also the nations of ancient history was used it in narrow - range to get their stolen rights that the oppressors and corruptors tried to seize and extort them without right or justification therefore the free nations moved and activated the concept of (strike) as a type of refusing and demonstration against oppressors, refusing the bases that pave the way for persecution and as a high type of reformation movement in humanity thinking which make from civil and unarmed movement instead of bullets language and killing and destruction to achieve a victory by language of peace
Generally we return to illustrate this term , it was mentioned in the political encyclopedia and dictionaries an illustration for this concept which is: The strike is stop working intentionally in groups to pressure on employer by the workers, it is also called the strikes of stopping the work from persons whom aren't workers like the strike of merchants, strike of members of free works, strike of natives from paying the taxes
The strike isn't disagreement in itself but it is a means of compulsory work to solve the disagreement and this means is due to mass of strikers which lead to stop the work there are many types of strike
Special strike : it involves specific region, or specific institution, or type for that institution or benefit in this type
Legal strike : it is used as public freedom within legal limits thus it differentiates from the illegal strike
Open strike : it means stop from work for unspecific period till achieving the demands of strikers
Symbolic strike : it means stop from work for specific period to show a case or sympathizing with it or with a person
An example of strikes that happened in the history , we mention the general strike in Britain in 1926 , it is general stop from work that the general union for labor union called for it In Britain on 4\5\1926 solidarity with the workers of mines who suffered from the decrease of salaries, and due to the threat of them on that decreasing, and this strike didn’t change to evolutional event due to the weakness of leadership of the general union, then the government was able to draft the middle class to do the main works of the service workers, and she used the army to transport the foods to the cities, and also she exploited her control on the radio to spread that she was controlling on the general state. As to the labor union of mines continued on the strike until Augustus when the workers were compelled to return to their work with low salary under the pressure of hunger of their children, and the bourgeoisie established that victory by legislation issued in 1927 with forbiddance of the general strike, and it continued until 1946
And there are another strike that’s (the strike on the food) that’s a political prisoner or not political refused from the food as protest against the legitimacy of issued rule on him or against the conditions of prison, and this way is too old and was used by some of Romans and others and it was reused in the twenty century, and from its example; some of English women did it to get the right of election for women in the England (1913-1918) and since 1912 the patriots Irelands used it to get the independence, and between (1917-1919) it was used in America from side of demand with right of election and those who were abstaining from the war, clinging to their religious principles from those who were arrested in the prisons, and Gandhi fasted several times on way of religious expiation which he imposed on himself and to protest on the British colonialism
So after this explanation we can get several points
The first: the strike which Al-Sayyid Muqtada Al-Sader called for it is from legitimate strike that relate to the needs of society directly to save them from the corruption and division which spread in it by corruptors people that any blame of blamer doesn’t take them in the devil
The second: this strike is not personal and not relate to a group or a part from the nation but it is specific strike includes all parts of the society (the professional, the service, the economic, the security, the political, the educational,…etc.) or say, it aims to save a society and a home from a corruptor group that didn’t respect any human feeling in dealing with the nation
The third: this general human strike doesn’t need in its legitimacy to any legal opinion from the more knowing guide or from the others guides because the dignity and the honor are kept by this movement and there is glory for the religion and for all of what the humanity settles from the supporting and brotherhood among the persons of the oppressed Iraqi nation, and this certainly doesn’t need the permission of guides, but it is good work as saying of Allah (And each one gas a direction towards which he inclines, therefore strive to surpass others in good deeds) Surah: Al-Baqarah (The Cow)
The forth: the strike is a movement indicates on the progress of nation and his reaching to high ranks from the awareness purposeful humanity movement
The fifth: the strike is way to make the evidence on the opposite side and to reveal her intention whereas the nation prepared more than one way to return to the right
The sixth: the strike is stage from stages of obedience that the leader sees through it the range of observance of followers of the right side in endurance of difficulties and the deepness of the aware applying which is a mark from the good's marks which result from it a movement and a pressure against the side of arrogance and corruptors
