O my brothers in Iraqi parliament from independent blocs or members come to the last chance to us and to you ….. The speech of Iraqi leader Al-Sayyid Muqtada Al-Sadr in his account in Twitter on 21/3/2022
In the name of Allah
Everyone doubts in the parties that participated in the political process since the fall (of Saddam government) to the present day especially from those who don't belong to these parties or support them from independent or neutral popular classes, therefore the current political process is a result of it whereas it produced many independent members in the parliament and many parties have shrunk especially on Shiite level and in the south of Iraq
Yes, many consensual governments ruled in Iraq but they didn't benefit Iraq and Iraqis, they harmed it year after year as some people claim; it can be said that the reason is the compatibility or say previous consensual governments and what happened in them from sharing the positions and the like, therefore we tried not to share the positions with them in the previous process but it didn't benefit
Today, we have to get out from the compatibility style to the majority style and from sectarian style to nationality style, we couldn’t do that in the past because of parties as you know but today there are class from independent members who love their home and aware of the reasons of decline Iraq to this terrifying and disturbing degree, it is – I mean forming national majority government- experience which we must go through it to prove its success or not, it may be a beginning to rise the bitter reality which our beloved country passes in it from all sides and a challenge to external pressures against our beloved country
Therefore, I call upon the independent, respectable and patriotic members to stand a stance of glory, honor and dignity to save the home from remains of corruption, terrorism, occupation, normalization and immorality through their supporting to the parliament session in which they will vote to choose the president of republic and never obstruct it by inoperative third which is result of persuasion and intimidation; therefore, we need to brave stance from you
If you don't trust me or (Sadrist bloc), we will give you chance to manage the country if you united and stayed away from temptations and threats; also you must know that I don't want to harm the opponents when I demand for national majority government because I don't consider any Iraq an opponent to me but all what I want is to benefit the home and people and guide any wrongdoer, punishing them is only for their benefit and public interest not for torture or pleasure, the clearest evidence is punishing the corrupters from those who belong to us
I was neither liar nor arrogant when I demanded the reformation but to reform my home and benefit my people to raise their rank and root the dignity of its oppressed people
Generally, such political attempts are better than violence or extremist protests which harmed the country and people for long time
O my brothers in Iraqi parliament from independent blocs or members come to the last chance to us and to you, if we succeeded, our home and people would get benefit and if we failed, I will declare that without hesitation because I don't have just to follow the truth and stay away from the falsehood, otherwise there are who try to lead Iraq to the wars and clashes and ruin the impartial democratic process, so anyone heard our call and didn't support us then he has no right to blame us later or accuse us
My speech isn't weakness or submission but due to my love to home and love home is from faith
