The benefits of our participating in the elections \ The speech of Muqtada Al-Sayyid Muhammad Al-Sadr in his account in Twitter on 5/9/2021
In the name of Allah
Did we as Shias (believe in twelve imams) ask ourselves: Why did Al-Imam Ali Bin Musa Al-Ridha (peace be upon him) satisfy with succession of Al-Ma'mun?! With explanatory introduction: we as imamiya (believe in twelve imams) believe in the infallibility of Al-Imam Al-Ridha (peace be upon him) so how does the master of reformation of his age (Al-Imam Al-Ridha) meet with chief of oppressors and corrupters (Al-Ma'mun)?! Maybe the famous answer was: he accepted because of the caution
I say: Is there caution in supporting the corruption?! And his grandfather is Al-Imam Al-Hussein the master of reformation and the most famous one who refused the corruption and the greatest one who demanded the reformation!!? Couldn't he refuse and to be killed for the case of reformation in front of corruption and his blood be a torch for reformation!?So why did he accept the succession!? According to my understanding and the person doesn't exceed his understanding that the answer is on many probabilities
The first probability: Strengthening the religion and doctrine through repel the evil of oppressors and their cunning and distorting the facts
The second probability: It is said from some doubters that there is support to the unjust rulers in his accepting the succession, whereas he sees the opposite, it means the accepting of Al-Ma'mun in the succession of Al-Imam Al-Ridha is a confession in his imamate, influence, presence and power and he has followers and lovers: Shias
The third probability: He satisfied with that for reformation.. reforming the nation of his grandfather the messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and upon his family and his sincere followers) his existence in rule is beneficial and more effective then he can reform and remove the grievances
If it was said: he stipulated not to interfere in state affairs
I say: it doesn't mean not to interfere in the reformation and remove the grievances but what we understand from this condition is not to interfere in administrative matters or even the military one or appointing and dismissing and the like. Also his existence will add spiritual halo on the Muslim societies at that time, then his existence will be a light which all get light from him and his existence becomes guidance, righteousness, reformation and integration
The fourth probability: He knows that the easier way to guide the society and responding to his decisions, orders, forbidden, advices and reformative projects is to reach to the authority, whereas the societies believe in rulers at that time and as narrated: the people follow the religion of their rulers then they will respond with his demands in easier and best way
On this basis, our entering in the elections and participating in the government will be following him (peace be upon him) as example with difference that he entered with rulers who weren't from his doctrine and we share those who are from our doctrine once and those from other doctrines also. And there are many benefits in that such as
First: Strengthening the religion and doctrine through removing the ghost of normalization and removing vice, dissolution, gay and atheism and the like in the country of guardians righteous
Second: Our existence in the parliament or government will be introduction for reformation whereas the policy and elections and existence in the government are introduction only…and the aim is the reformation, we are not from those who are deceived by position, chairs and authority because Allah honored us we Al-Sadr family in sitting in the hearts of believing men, oppressed people and the poor and it is utmost honor in the present life and afterlife
Third: Our existence in the parliament and government will add the glamor of reformation either by invitation or intimidation and we will reveal all plans of corruption and this is a promise between me and between Allah and between me and between my beloved people
Fourth: Never existence will be as mercy shot in the chest of reformation and the efforts of Al-Sadrein two martyrs, it means our existence adds legality, power and firmness and our withdrawal will be weakness especially after signing the paper by some leaders with thanks
Fifth: Most Iraqi society believe that the people follow the religion of their rulers or say: most people work by it whether with intention or not, so our existence will be power, efficacy and activation for reformation and reformers
Here I repeat: our existence in the current political process in particular is religious, doctrinal and national one not mere political existence for benefit and sharing the cake as they express and Allah is the source of each success
