Important matters concerning our policy in dealing with neighboring states in the next stage …. The speech of Iraqi leader Al-Sayyid Muqtada Al-Sadr in his account in Twitter on 24/10/2021

In the name of Allah

All love and respect to the neighboring states, they are our friends and brothers, hence, I'd like to mention some important matters concerning our policy in dealing with them in the next stage and they are on two levels

The first level: The neighboring states who didn't interfere in the internal affairs of Iraq, we will seek to strengthen the relations and work to find common projects on security, economic, cultural, healthy, educational, and industrial level, exchange of experiences and the like, but even on all levels and activate the diplomatic common role, and Iraq will not interfere in their affairs absolutely

The second level: The neighboring states who had clear interference in Iraqi political and security affair and others, dealing with them will be as the following

First: Opening a high level dialogue to prevent the interferences absolutely, if they responded then this is welcome otherwise we will resort to known diplomatic and international ways to prevent that

Second: Protecting the borders, ports and airports and stressing in dealing with them.. otherwise we will reduce from economic dealings or others matters with them

Third: Issuing any deed is considered infringement on the Iraqi sovereignty and it will be reason to reduce the diplomatic representation or other from strict procedures which are applicable internationally and regionally

In all these matter, Iraq will not interfere in the affair of any neighboring state and the Iraqi lands will not be base to harm them especially with the states who respect the full sovereignty and don't treat people or government with superiority. Hence, we will not allow to any state to interfere in the Iraqi elections and their results, alliances, blocs and forming the government and the like, what happens is democratic struggles among people and we have no need to regional interference, as we respect the sovereignty of all neighboring states: Al-Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Syrian Arab Republic and Turkish Republic and we don't interfere in their affairs and desire in their friendship and brotherhood and deal with them by the same within the common interests, their lands will not be base for reckoning with our enemies as terrorists and others because they are obligated to do that with thanks. I consider all that a base for peace in the region, and Iraq will make effort to strengthen the relations with them and among them as mediator or the like if they asked that, our dealings with them will not be according to sectarian interests or individual interests absolutely, with our highest respect
