Speech of Al-Sayyid Muqtada Al-Sadr on 4\10\2022

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

I listened carefully to the National Security Council session about Iraq and I have some comments on that

First: Concerning what the representative of UN said and what drew my attention is: the main reason for what happens in Iraq is the corr.uption which all agreed on its existence. Yes, that is right and too accurate and the first step for gradual reformation is never participating of old persons and their parties in the next government according to Marji'ya aspirations and aspirations of revo.lutionary people, we agree to the dialogue if it is public to remove all the participants in the previous political and electoral process and hold answerable the corr.upters through fair judiciary. We are looking for the help of UN in this regard: I mean the reformation even gradually; I also support what the participants said in the National Security Council session from self – control therefore I call to self-control and never resort to the vio.lence and wea.pon from all parties and hasten in pu.nishing the doers regardless their belongingness, in addition to what was mentioned about the uncontrolled wea.pon which are outside the state but the most important is: the uncontrolled wea.pon mustn't be inside the state and never use them against the opp.onents and revo.lutionists and in fixing the authority and rooting the deep state especially the current prime minister is exposing to great pressures in this regard in spite of he is ar.med forces commander and never responding some ar.med people even if they are in the state to him. We also commend to the standing of Security Council with Iraq about what Iraq faces from bo.mbing here and there, here I call dear neighboring countries to respect Iraq sovereignty and keep on its security and stability through diplomatic ways or through dialogue; but I stand against the insistence of some Security Council members on forming government in Iraq because many governments were formed but they har.med the home and people, the people inspirations is to form a government far from corr.uption, subordination, m.ilitias and external interventions to be independent and stable government serves its people not serves the interests of its parties and sects whereas everyone serve their party or sect or race. O dear members, Iraq is going through its worse times because of the corr.uption and the domination of its parties on the authority, I don't exclude anyone even those who belong to us whom we tried to expose them and pu.nish them but they resorted to the corr.upters and those who are opp.onents to us, the other parties didn't p.unish the corr.upters who belong to them but maybe they help them in that

Second: I advise the Security Council never listen to what the representative of Iraq said in this session which his speech was far from the truth in most of what it contains unfortunately

Finally, I thank the representative of UN for what she said and I advise her to continue on her neutral attitudes and never siding with one party over the other
