The speech of Al-Sayyid Muqtada Al-Sadr on 19/9/2023 In the name of Allah A case which occupied the public opinion as they express and people were divided between supporters to it and other opponents to it, and some people were neutral as the matter with most social, religious, doctrinal and scientific cases; a case which Sharia must have an opinion towards it, and Islam must have clear attitude towards it; here I don’t mean special or personal attitude but general attitude which is concluded from (Holy Quran) to be united attitude among all Muslims with all their sects, it can be said that it mustn’t be violated absolutely. The case of (Abrahamic religion) which more people promote to it, it is fixed matter in Sharia and its answer is existent in Holy Quran Allah said: Ibrahim was neither a Jew nor a Christian; but he was a Muslim, free from all falsehood; and was not of the polytheists; a group among the people given the Books desire that if only they could lead you astray; and they only make themselves astray, and they do not have sense Yes, a group among people given the Books desire if only they could lead you astray from Islamic right religion through inviting to unite the religions without right under title of (Abrahamic religion) forgetting that Ibrahim was neither a Jew nor a Christian but he was Muslim. If we return to case of uniting the religions, Islam is its center and start point considering that Ibrahim was Muslim and free from all falsehood, it means he was on the truth way and returning to him doesn’t mean neglecting the other religions God forbids or means associating partners with Allah or Allah is the third of the three Gods and the like. Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was monotheist and Muslim therefore Allah said Undoubtedly among all mankind who have the best claim to Ibrahim are those who followed him, and this prophet (Muhammad – peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and upon his family-) and the believers and Allah is the Guardian of the believers Yes, undoubtedly among all mankind who have the best claim to Ibrahim are First: Those who followed him and believed him in his age and in his life and after his death not those who slipped from his monotheism and Islam whereas Ibrahim was neither a Jew nor a Christian Second: And this prophet refers to the messenger of Allah (Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and upon his family Third: And the believers doesn’t mean all believers but the best confirmation of the believers; the twelve infallibles from prophet family There is a clear indication in the verse that those who want to return to Ibrahim must enter his door that is (this prophet) and (the believers) only. Yes, no one can get the honor of following prophet Ibrahim just those who believed and feared Allah whereas Allah said: (And (remember) when Ibrahim’s (Abraham’s) Lord tested him in some matters and he fulfilled them; He said, I ‘m going to appoint you as a leader (imam) for mankind; invoked Ibrahim, and of my offspring; He said, My covenant does not include the unjust; wrong - doers Yes, His covenant and belief do not include the unjust and wrong – doers but it includes his offspring (the messenger of Allah peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and upon his family-) whereas they are offspring one of another materially and morally. If the people of Books followed their prophets Moses and Jesus rightfully, they would have the best claim to him also, but they are as Allah said: O people given the Books! Why do you disbelieve in the signs of Allah, whereas you yourselves are witnesses? Also He said: O people given the Books! Why do you mix the truth with falsehood and conceal the truth whereas you know Yes, all who slipped and deviated from Divine religions even Islamic religion, they stayed away from prophet Ibrahim; the covenant does not include him and he was from unjust people except those who repented and believed and did a good deeds, they are on guidance and Allah doesn’t guide the unjust people; our last invocation is: praise be to Allah Muqtada Al-Sadr
