Prophet Jesus met a Shepherd in the desert, he asked him about spending his life in pasturing instead of seeking for knowledge, the shepherd answered him

I took from the knowledge six merits and work accordingly

First : as long as the licit things are existent, I don't eat forbidden things

Second: as long as the honest is existent, I don't lie

Three : as long as I see my defects, I don't waste my time in seeking for the defects
of the others whereas I don't mend my defects so I don’t care for the defects
of the others

Fourth: as long as the devil is alive so I must be aware for his traps

Fifth: as long as the blessings of God are everlasting , I don't need the people

Sixth: as long as I don’t guarantee the paradise so I should avoid the punishment of
God

Jesus said: this is exactly the knowledge of the first nations and last nations

In fact Jesus wanted through his question to reach his idea to the [people about the knowledge, it means (put the speech or the action in its right place) the speech must be brief and meaningful

And whoever is granted wisdom, he indeed is given a great good) Surah: AI-Baqarah :The Cow

Our prophet Mohammed said : the wise is about to be a prophet
