The reasons behind the invasion of khaiber

Khaiber lies in western north of the Arab island in Al-Hujaz region and it is far 200 km from Al-Medina and the Jews lived in it, they are about 14000 persons and it was said that the Jews population at that time about 20000 persons and from them there were braves knights. It was conquered in last of 6 A.H. or in beginning of 7 A.H. by leadership of the Prophet Mohammed and by prince of the believers (Ali) who conquered all their forts and killed their famous heroes such as Marhab. And the historians mentioned several reasons for the invasion

One: the Jews instigated the idolater Arabian tribes (Al-Ahzab) to fight the Muslims when the Prophet evacuated the Jews of beni Al-Nadheer

whereas they went to Khaiber and called Quraish and its followers to fight the Prophet. The Jewish said to them: we are with you till removing Mohammed

Two: they instigated the Jews of beni Kuraidha to ally with Al-Ahzab to fight the Muslims which they was convening with the Muslims

Three: they established a new army to fight the Muslims

Four: when the Prophet be assured from the stronger of three sides in the Trench war that’s Quraish, he wanted to fight the other two sides –the Jews and tribes of Najed- to complete the peace and to prevail the quiet in the region and to put an end to the blooding struggle to the Muslims for invitation them to the message of Allah

Five: the Prophet sent messages to the kings and the sultans and invited them to the Islam and it was possible that Khosrau and Caesar exploit the Jews and work together for putting an end to Islam or the Jews instigate these two kings against Islam as they instigated the polytheist against Islam that there was role from them in the war that happened between the Romans and the Persians, in spite of that but the Prophet sent two messages called them to the Islam before fighting them

And we can add two main points to above reasons

The first point: we perceive it from the Holy Qura'n and the promise by the conquest and the many gaining in Surah: Al-Fateh (the Victory) after the Hudaibia peace that had a large effect in moving the Prophet to obtain of the promised victory and to hasten the verse (…and rewarded them with a near victory) Surah: Al-Fateh (the victory) and to be one from many proofs on truth of his prophecy and his worldly message

So it was a great victory that the power of Jews was broke by it

The second point: it was in the north of Arab peninsula the regions

(Khaiber, Tima', Fadak and Wadi Al-Qura) and most of Jews were in these regions and these regions have many characteristics that qualify them to have effectiveness in the region especially they represent the borderline between the Arab peninsula and the Sham which the highest pyramid for the Christian religion whereas Al-Qudus lies in it and have religious importance

So the Muslims were not to reach their voice to these countries just by removing the Jews dangerous from this region
