The speech of Iraqi leader Al-Sayyid Muqtada Al-Sadr addressed to Iraqi people on 3/8/2022
O Iraqi beloved people with all their sects, minorities, belongingness religions, beliefs, thoughts and tendencies whatever they are, don't let them deceive you that the current re.volution is a str.uggle for authority whereas if I want it, I didn't withdraw 73 sincere members from parliament
No, it isn't str.uggle for authority whereas I didn't decide to participate in the new elections or never participate even though the current quota system was fallen; I returned to the elections previously in order to enact a necessary law against nor.malization and Allah helped us for that praise be to Him
After we got the biggest bloc and wanted the national majority and the malicious lawsuits hindered it, the st.ruggle isn't between persons as they try to show it because I'm not from those who ant.agonize anyone absolutely even he wants to ki.ll me as in the last leaks or from those who kept silent on the leaks, I don't want just the guidance for them not for them but for love of religion, doctrine, people and homeland
Don't submit to their ru.mors that I don't want the dialogue but we tried dialogue with them but it brought r.uin, co.rruption and subordination upon us and upon the home in spite of their promises and signs, there is no benefit from the dialogue especially after the people said their free and spontaneous word
O Iraqi beloved people as you knew me, I didn't and will not satisfy to shed the bl.ood and will not begin with that absolutely even though they began it because reformation will not be achieved just through sa.crifice as Al-Imam Al-Hussain (peace be upon him) sa.crificed his bl.ood in Al-Taf re.volution and I'm ready for mar.tyrdom for reformation and save the people and home
O Iraqi beloved people, if you want the reformation and change, I'm waiting for you and if you satisfied in your reality whatever its characteristics and disadvantages then it is up to you, but the re.volution began Sadrist and they are part of people and home, if there is corr.upter and tested in Al-Sadrist movement, the re.volution will not excludes him, I began the reformation from inside the movement and I didn't claim that Al-Sadrist movement is over suspicions and all of you know me( I always dismiss the co.rrupters from the Al-Sadrist movement) but most of those whom I dismissed either they resort to the co.rrupters or find a plea from the other that we should not pu.nish them in ways which are outside the judiciary or law then they cause tur.moil in the earth and if we present them to the judiciary they will be acquitted unfortunately
O Iraqi beloved people, I don't say that due to weakness or f.ear because there are strong men (in terms of number and readiness) to s.acrifice in Al-Sadrist movement may Allah reward them the best reward but I say that in order the heavenly benefit and divine success prevail on the all , I'm certain that most people are tired of ruling class including some of those who belong to Al-Sadrist movement; therefore exploit my existence to end the co.rruption and there will not be existence for the old corr.upters whatever their belongingness if Allah wills through democratic process – pay attention please - through democratic, re.volutionary and peaceful process first, then early election democratic process after disband the current parliament
Yes, I don't demand authority nor I have personal ambition for me or for those who belong to me nor shedding the bl.ood but I want reformation in the month of reformation, may it be a door to the success and all who love the home and reformation Ashura' must walk towards the reformation and Allah is the source of each success
Dear re.volutionists and those who sit – in, you must stay and continue your sit – in till fulfilling the demands; I address my thanks to the brave security forces and to each one supported this Iraqi genuine re.volution
